Mobile chargers – Flexible charging on the go

Our portable chargers offer maximum flexibility:

• Type 2 – Schuko (2.3 kW, 8 m): Ideal for emergencies or everyday use. With protective contact plug, clear display, temperature monitoring and IP44 protection.

• Type 2 – CEE 16A (11 kW, 8 m): The compact powerhouse for on the go or your home garage: three-phase charging with 11 kW via industrial plug – no wallbox required.

Both chargers are ready to use with carrying bag, Mode 2 certified according to IEC 62752. In addition, the integrated In-Cable-Control-Box (ICCB) ensures maximum safety: it monitors the charging process and reliably protects against over-/undervoltage, residual current, overheating and wiring faults. The display clearly shows important parameters such as charging time, temperature, voltage, power, energy consumption and the set charging current.

EV Type 2 charging cables – For public charging stations & wallboxes

Our Type 2 charging cables are the perfect connection between your electric vehicle and the charging station. Available as 11 kW (16A, 3-phase) or 22 kW (32A, 3-phase), each in 5 m or 7 m lengths, Mode 3 according to IEC 61851-1. Both variants feature ergonomic grips, robust Type 2 connectors, protective caps, carrying bag and IP55 protection. Whether for private carports or public charging points – with Type 2 to Type 2 cables you are well equipped for the future. Our Type 2 charging cables are protected by an especially robust insulation sheath against abrasion and damage. The protective caps on connectors and couplings prevent dirt and moisture ingress. For reliable use in any weather, the cables are designed for operating temperatures from -30 °C to +50 °C.

Frequently asked questions about charging solutions for electric vehicles

Which charging power is suitable for my electric car?
Mode 2 charging supplies power via household sockets (e.g. Schuko or CEE), secured by an In-Cable-Control-Box (ICCB) that handles all safety-relevant functions. Mode 3 refers to charging via permanently installed charging infrastructure such as wallboxes or public charging stations – here, charging takes place with up to 22 kW via a Type 2 socket.

Are brennenstuhl® chargers compatible with my vehicle?
Yes, our chargers and charging cables are compatible with all common electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with a Type 2 charging connection – regardless of brand or model.
Thanks to the built-in In-Cable-Control-Box (ICCB), the devices automatically detect the correct charging parameters and ensure safe communication between vehicle and power source. This allows you to charge your e-car reliably, efficiently and in accordance with IEC 62196-2 and IEC 62752 standards.

Can I also use the mobile charger outdoors?
Yes – all brennenstuhl® chargers are designed for outdoor use.
The protective contact version (Schuko) and the CEE variant have weather protection according to IP44, while the integrated ICCB (In-Cable-Control-Box) even meets protection class IP65. This makes the devices protected against splashing water and dust. In addition, the robust construction with reinforced insulation and protective caps on the connectors ensures high resistance to mechanical stress. Even in extreme conditions – from -30 °C to +50 °C – our chargers work reliably. Ideal for everyday use, travel or emergencies on the go.
